Mrs. Linda Carol Maher, 56, of Lillington passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at her home. She was born in France, the daughter of the late Howard William and Alice Watson Amidon. Linda loved family more than life itself. She will be deeply missed. Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Swank and brother, Benedict Amidon.

Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Flatwoods Baptist Church with Rev. Cecil McNeill and Chaplain Alvin McLean officiating. The family will receive friends at the home.

Linda is survived by her husband, Mike Maher of the home, daughters, Connie Hayes of Syracuse, NY, Kathleen Chavez and husband Victor of Godwin, Ann McAuley and husband Cedric of Lillington, son, John Elkins, Jr. and wife Brittany of Clinton, step-daughter, Justyn Nolan of Hope Mills; 11 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Pamela Brame of Syracuse, NY and Donna Amidon of Newfoundland, Canada.
