Mrs. Linda Cockman, 72, of Lillington passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at her home. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Charles and Alease West Baucom. Linda was a mother figure to many and always had a seat at the kitchen table for those in need. She worked at Champion Homes for many years.

Linda was preceded in death by a son Britt Cockman, Jr.; granddaughter, Alexis Coleman; siblings, Glenn Baucom and Brenda Dean.

She is survived by her lifelong partner, Walter Hudgins "Wal Wal" to the grandkids; children, Benny Ray and Travis Cockman; grandchildren, Autumn Cockman, Brittany Cockman, Jeremy Hayes, Blake Cockman, Brandon Cockman, Hunter Cockman, Rainey Cockman, and Camden Coleman; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Arvin Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Mike Baucom, Jenny Champion and Faye West.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Westview Cemetery in Lillington. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Tuesday from 1:00-2:45 PM.
