Mrs. Letha Betty Sledge Lowery, 90, of Bunnlevel, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Samuel Sledge and Mary Ennemoses Sledge. She was preceded in death by her husband James Norman Lowery, (Chief); brothers Samuel, George, and Asheville Sledge; and a daughter, Mary Ann Lowery.

She is survived by James Harold Lowery (Jane); Sylvia Lowery Cook (Ron); Sandra Lowery Anzelone (Kevin); James Norman Lowery Jr. (Linda); Dennis Fitzgerald Lowery; Carolyn Lowery Locklear (Timothy); grandchildren Jason Lowery, Jessica McEachern, Jason Mathisen, Taylor Cook, Roy Byrd, George Byrd, James Lowery (Jimmy), Allison Griggs, Dennis Lowery, Joshua Lowery, Dakota (DJ) Locklear, Brianna Locklear, Hunter Locklear; seven great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on the evening of Sunday, July 5th from 6:00-8:00 pm at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home and Crematory.  Friends can visit with the family at the home of Letha Lowery at other times.
