Mr. Lester B. Carroll, age 83, of Jacksonville, NC, formerly of Fuquay-Varina, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 at Britthaven of Jacksonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Eastern NC, 400 Oberlin Rd., Suite 220, Raleigh, NC 27605.

Survivors included three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a later date.
