Leonidas Charles (L.C.) Patterson, Jr., 77, of Broadway died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. He was born in Harnett County to the late Leonidas Charles (Lonnie) Sr. and Carrie Butler Patterson. L.C. was a retired mechanic and farmer and served his country in U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; brothers Roderick (Ock), Duncan, John Dacosta (J.D.), Archie and Foster; sister, Lena M. Hughes.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Leaflet Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Thomas Spence officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

He is survived by brothers, Clyde and friend Christine Jones of Broadway; Nash and wife Marie of Linden; Dougald and wife Wallace Ann of Reidsville; Parker and wife Mildred of Greensboro. Sisters, Jennie Holland and husband Johnny of Lillington; Margaret Butler and husband Charlie of Broadway. Twenty-one nieces and nephews; thirty-one great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
