Mrs. Leona M. Breeden, 87 of Lillington died at her home on Monday, November 29, 2010. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Mattie Black McDonald.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Breeden; two brothers, Paul and Robert McDonald; and a sister, Eunice Arnold. Mrs. Breeden was a retired civil service employee, working at Fort Bragg as a secretary for over 20 years.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 2 at 3 pm at Lillington Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. William Goodnight. Burial will follow at Westview Memorial Gardens.

A visitation will be held at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy Breeden and Margie Lynne Carter and husband Gary, all of Lillington; son, Edward E. Breeden, Jr. and special friend Lisa Fisher of Lillington; sister, Willie Mae Wells of Angier; four grandchildren, Monica McKenzie, Ashley Breeden, Miranda Carter, and Seth Carter; and seven great-grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Aaron, Cameron, Cierra, Braelyn, and Brianna.
