Obituary

Mrs. Lenora K Harvell, 96 of Lillington, was welcomed with open arms by her Lord and Savior on April 8, 2021.

Lenora was born on October 27, 1924 to Benjamin and Bettie Keith of Fuquay-Varina. She married Roy B Harvell on November 16, 1950. Lenora was a sweet and loving soul. She was quick to offer a meal or dessert for anyone who stopped by. She cooked some of the best southern food that was ever made. Her desire to serve others was always a part of her recipes, and it is certain that is what made her dishes so wonderful. Her home was always a buzz with loved ones. Lenora loved visitors on her sun porch, where she spent most of her days watching ACC basketball games or the Hallmark channel. She was an avid supporter of all her grandchildren's activities and was present for any sporting event they participated in, regardless of the distance. Lenora was a member of Lillington Baptist Church and attended the Sara Womble Sunday School class. She was able to attend class via Zoom up until her passing.

Her greatest hope was for her family and friends to ask Jesus into their heart and live their lives for Him.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roy B Harvell, her parents, Benjamin and Bettie Keith, her sister, Mozelle Burt, and her brothers, BH and Tommy Keith.

She is survived by her two children, Linda (Larry) Taylor and Mark (Suzie) Harvell, her grandchildren, Kristy-Ann (Sean) Joyce, Tyler (Angela) Hamilton, Shannon (Elizabeth) Hamilton, Candice (Chris) Beach, Kyle Harvell, and Meredith (Cody) Lambert. She also leaves behind 10 great grandchildren, with one to soon make an appearance in May.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kristy Ann Joyce for her exceptional care of her grandmother for the past several months.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 10 am at Westview Cemetery in Lillington with Rev. Daniel Selman presiding.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials made to Lillington Baptist Church. PO Box 670 Lillington, NC 27546.
