Laudie "Bunk" Welch Darroch, 82 of Bunnlevel passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at his home.

Bunk was born December 13, 1931 in Harnett Co. to the late Daniel M. and Mary Catherine McDonald Darroch. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Darroch, 2 sisters, Pauline Matthews and Agnes Johnson; and a grandson, Tommy Ray Bradshaw.

Bunk enjoyed attending and watching NASCAR races. He loved working in his shop and maintaining the Darroch Cemetery. He liked music and was learning to play the guitar.

Bunk is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Autry Darroch of the home; a daughter Susan Darroch of the home; 3 sons, Danny Darroch and wife Frances of Jamul, CA, John Darroch of Bunnlevel and Hank Darroch and wife Kristey of Bunnlevel; 6 grandchildren, Katie Jo, Daniel, Amy, Matt, Debbie and Ashley.

A graveside service will be held 4:00 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Flatbranch Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. Michael Armistead officiating.
