Latracia "Trish" Ballard, 60 of Lillington died Sunday, June 1, 2014.

Trish was born in Coles Co. Illinois on July 1, 1953 to the late Lewis Edward and Winifred Stewart Matteson. Trish was also preceded in death by her brother, Ed.

Trish was a very outgoing and sociable person. She could turn everything into something good and funny. She was a creative person. She loved doing crafts and being outdoors. Every Friday you could find her playing BINGO.

A Graveside service will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Harnett Memorial Park with Rev. Cary Snelling officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home and all other times at the home of Glenn.

Trish is survived by 3 sons, Steve McWhorter and wife Lisa of Sanford, Mark Sr. and wife Margie of Lillington and Glenn and wife Megan of Lillington. 3 sisters, Anita, Connie and Dorene; a brother, Louis; 10 grandchildren, Amber Coleman, Stephen, Alyssa, Richard, Mark Jr., Justin, Hope, Ava, Laila and Adalie McWhorter.
