Mr. Larry Hooper Bethune, 65, of Lillington passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Hooper and Jo Bethune. Larry and his wife, Judy owned and operated the C-Mart in Lillington for 33 years.

Upon Larry's request, no formal service will be held at this time. A guest book will be available at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home on Friday, February 26, Monday, February 29 and Tuesday, March 1 from 8:30-5:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the home.

Larry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Johnson Bethune of the home; daughter, Jennifer Bethune Holland and husband, Scott of Jacksonville, FL; son, Jason Bethune of the home; 2 grandsons, Jackson and Anderson; brother, Al Bethune and wife, Diane of Apex.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
