Lannie Lee McKinney, Sr., 62, of Cameron, passed away, Sunday, October 16, 2022 at his home.

Lannie was born September 12, 1960 in Pinellas, Florida.  He worked as a machinist at Olivia Machine and Tool retiring after 17 years of service.

Lannie was preceded in death by his nephew, Ron Moody; and his niece, Rosa Speagle.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Ann Moeller McKinney; parents, John David McKinney and Doris Holland McKinney; daughter, Erika Nicole McKinney; son, Lannie McKinney, Jr. and his wife, Paula; brothers, David McKinney, John Hamilton, and Eddie Holland; sisters, Linda Brown, Mary Stubbs, Brenda Sue Gibson, and Betty Speagle; and grandchildren, Bella Church and Eli Church; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 246 Flynn McPherson Rd., Cameron, NC 28326, with burial to immediately follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. Donald Flynn will officiate the service.  The family will receive friends 6pm-8pm Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the funeral home and other times at his parent's home, 99 McKinney Lane, Cameron, NC 28326.
