Kenneth "Gwyn" Wester, 76 of Lillington passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Central Carolina Hospital surrounded by his family.

Gwyn was born September 11, 1939 in Harnett Co. to the late Elsie Taylor Wester and James Horace Wester. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and the Lillington Shriners. He loved God, his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time outside, working in the yard and doing anything related to geology.

Gwyn was survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanette Parker Wester of Lillington; a daughter, Julie Wester of Lillington; 2 sons, Jeff Wester and Kenny Wester both of Sanford; 2 sisters, Marie Campbell and husband Joe of Greensboro and Trudy Wester and husband Joe Landry of Damascus VA; a brother, Randy Wester and wife Marsha of Smithfield; 4 grand-daughters, Kimberly, Hannah, and Erin Wester and Briana Mullen; a great grand-daughter, Kaitlyn Elaine.

A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Broaddus officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home. The family requests casual attire.
