Ms. Kelly Gail Cockman, 51, of Bunnlevel passed away Tuesday November 12, 2019 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of Ronnie and Gail Hudson Cockman. Kelly worked as an assistant elementary school teacher and bus driver for 18 years at Boone Trail Elementary School. She loved spending time with family, being outdoors, going to the beach and helping others. Kelly's patience, love and understanding showed through her as a mother, daughter and sister. She found strength and peace by being a faithful believer of God.

Kelly was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Herbert and Pauline Hudson; paternal grandparents, Norman Cockman and Hathleen Smart; aunt, Shirley Cockman.

In addition to her parents, Kelly is survived by her 2 sons, Ron Brown and Ryan Brown both of Bunnlevel; daughter, Karly Brown of Bunnlevel; 2 grandchildren, Grayson and Rylan Brown; brother, Lee Cockman and wife Melissa of Bunnlevel; nieces and nephews, Tristan, Zachary, Gracie and Kadence; special friend, Craig Clifton of Linden; aunts, Jeannette Bush, Rhonda Hudson; uncles, Jimmy and Frankie Hudson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday November 15, 2019 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel in Lillington with Pastor Clyde Baber officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at her home.
