Ms. Kay McDiarmid Thomas, 83, of Lillington, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

Kay had a deep love for her family, was an avid Duke basketball and Atlanta Braves baseball fan and enjoyed birthday parties.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 2:00PM at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred McDiarmid and sisters Charlotte and Peggy.

She is survived by her children; son Barry Thomas of Lillington, daughters Brenda Stutts (Robert) of Fayetteville and Janet Darcy of Lillington; 8 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
