Mrs. Kathy Drewry, 65, of Spring Lake passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Magnolia House Retirement Center in Sanford. She was born in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Sydney Albert Perry, Sr. and Colene Furr Perry. Kathy was a homemaker and loved to rescue animals. She loved traveling, shopping and spending time with family. Kathy was known for her outgoing personality and love of all people. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Drewry.

Kathy is survived by 3 daughters, Kristen Drewry and Ariel Drewry both of Spring Lake, Jennifer Korpela of West Allis, WI; son, Alec Drewry of Milwaukee, WI; 2 grandchildren, Jackson Drewry and Kylie Korpela; sister, Anne Taylor and husband, Vernon of West Jefferson, NC; brother, Sydney Perry, Jr. of Concord, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Daniel Selman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00-2:00 PM.
