Mrs. Karen Phillips Edge, 65, of Lillington passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh. She was born in Rutland County, VT, the daughter of the late John and Shirley Martin Phillips. Karen was an active member of Lillington United Methodist Church. She was retired from the state of Vermont after 33 years of service. Most recently, Karen worked with HPE in Lillington. She loved to play golf and was a member of Pine Burr Golf Course.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Lillington United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.

Karen is survived by her husband, Jim Edge of the home, son, Bill Edge of Lillington, daughter, Morag Keller of Wyoming, 3 grandchildren, Meaghan Keller, Ainsley Keller and Neal Keller, 2 sisters, Sue Crete of Vermont and Cindy Thayer of New York.
