Karen Lynn Bullock Dollar, 58 of Bunnlevel went to be with the Lord Friday, August 8, 2014 surrounded by her family.
Karen was born in Cumberland Co. to the late Thomas Worthy and Geneva Elizabeth Bullock. Karen is preceded in death by her husband Leon "Pete" Dollar; sisters, Jane Gaskins, Amyillis Bullock; brothers, Tommy Dale, Joe and Ricky Bullock.
Karen retired with 20 years at Campbell University in Public Safety. She was a member of Massey Hill Baptist Church. She loved to be with family and spoil her grandkids.
Karen is survived by 3 daughters, Stephanie Ponnequin and husband Dale of Bunnlevel, Jennifer Ezzell and husband Tony of Killeen TX and Tiffney Dollar and husband Lewis Hawkins of Spring Lake; a son, James Dollar of St. Joseph MO; 7 sisters, Charlotte Somers, Rebecca Washington, Lorrie Baggett all of Fayetteville, Dwane Wicker of McGees Crossroads, Martha Hudgins of Apex, Patsy Ladner and Dusty Dethloff both of Alabama; a brother, Kenny Bullock of Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Patsy Pittman of Monroe; 15 grandchildren, Cecil and Samantha Poythress, Mitchell, Nicholas and Matthew Ponnequin, Cadence and Kendall Ezzell; Brooke, Ava, Reina, Triston and Ashleigh Hawkins; Daniel, Maddie and Abby Dollar.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Massey Hill Baptist Church with pastor Tim Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, August 11, 2014 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home and all other times at the home of Stephanie.
