Obituary

Julian Zarycki, Jr. 73 Of Lillington died Monday July 29, 2013 at Hospice of Wake Co. Hospice House.

When Mr. Zarycki was four he traveled from the Ukraine to Switzerland and ended up in Germany trying to escape the bombs of World War II. He was one of the kids who received a Chocolate bar from an American Solder. When he was nine He traveled to America where he spent his school years in Detroit. When he turned 18 he graduated High School and Joined the US Army. He started out in the 101st Airbourne and finished his military career with the 82nd Airbourne 17th Calvery. While he was with the 82nd Airbourne he went and served in the Dominican Republic. After his 5 1/2 years with the US Army he decided to return back to Detroit and attend college. He spent the rest of his career buying, selling and manufacturing copper cable.

A Funeral Service will be held 7:00 P.M. Friday August 2, 2013 at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jack Kelly Officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Mr. Zarycki is survived by his wife Anita; 4 sons, Mark Zarycki and wife Deanna, Jason Zarycki, Steven Zarycki and wife Diane and Travis Zarycki all of Michigan; a daughter, Kristen Zarycki of Michigan; 8 grandchildren
