Julia Melton, 89, of Lillington, born in Canton, NC passed away peacefully on Friday, November 27, 2015.

She is dearly missed by her family and loved ones, who celebrate that she is at peace with the Lord. Julia will be remembered for her love of family and friends, her involvement in her church and her constant smile.

Julia is survived by her husband of 71 years, Charlie Melton; a sister, Jane Thompson; a son, Charles; 3 daughters, Dianna, Teresa and Tina; and 5 grandchildren Adrian, Christopher, Karen, Aaron, and Drew and their families.

The funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerome Smith. Burial will follow at Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
