Judge Robert Glenn Johnston, III, age 62, of Columbus, GA passed away at his residence Saturday, March 12, 2011. Judge Johnston was born in Columbus, GA, the son of the late Robert Glenn Johnston Jr. and Merle Farrar Johnston. He was elected Georgia State Court Judge in 1983; appointed Judge Superior Court in 1995; and took Senior Judge Status in 2010. Survivors include his wife,formerly of Lillington- Lois Ross Johnston of Columbus, GA. 3 Daughters- Farrar Johnston Abbott and husband Ely of Atlanta, GA; Margaret Johnston Montenegro and husband Diego of Orlando, FL; Victoria Glenn Johnston of Columbus; 4 Grandchildren- Matias Robert Montenegro, Johnston Ely Abbott, Lucia Ray Montenegro and Robert McKay Abbott. Numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 18, 2011 at Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Lillington.
