Joyner Floyd Taylor, 67 of Dunn died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Wake Med Raleigh

Joyner was born in Harnett Co. to the late Evan Bryant and Edith Sanderfer Taylor. Joyner was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Taylor.

Joyner was a caring person who never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh. Throughout his life he helped lots of people in the community that he may or may not have known. He was a bass player in a band and in his younger years traveled the East Coast. Joyner was a lifelong barber who said "the haircut was free you only pay for the advice." He was in the US Navy and retired from the National Guard. He was a Lillington Police officer and also retired from the Department of Corrections. He was a graduate of Campbell University. He was a dedicated member of Central Baptist Church where he loved to greet people. He was a loving father and husband.

Joyner is survived by 3 daughters, Leah Holloway and husband Dale of Garner, Leslie Stewart of Panama City Beach, FL, and Shannon Wagoner of Omaha, NE; a son, Tim Wagoner and wife Lisa of Wilmington; 2 grandchildren, Corrie and Anna Wagoner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Central Baptist Church in Dunn with Rev. Tom Wagoner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 6050 Plain View Highway, Dunn NC 28334.
