Joyce Lisa Womble Camping, 70, passed away on October 5, 2020, at her home.

Joyce was born December 14, 1949, in Harnett County to Ethel Gray Whittington Baker and the late Virgil Womble.  She was preceded in death by her husband David Glenn Camping on April , 2020.

Joyce is survived by her mother, Ethel Gray Whittington Baker; her two brothers, Virgil Ronald Womble and Larry Lee Womble; and her beloved Yorkie, Annie.

Joyce and her husband were members of the Lillington Baptist Church.  She graduated from Broadway High School in 1969; she attended Nichols State University in 1985.  She was crowned Mardis Gras Queen in Houma, Louisiana in 1994.

Joyce and her husband were entrepreneurs.  They loved to travel abroad and attended mystery theaters.  David was an avid golfer.

They will be remembered for their kindness, generosity, and passion for life.

There will be a private family service for both held at the graveside.
