Mrs. Joyce Butts Brown, 78, of Bunnlevel died Friday, December 13, 2013 at her home. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Roy W. and Thelma Partin Butts. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Aubert Brown; brother, Douglas Butts and a grandson, Joseph Brown. She owned and operated Butts and Brown Farm Supply in Bunnlevel and Lady Ann's Dress Shop in Lillington. Joyce was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church where she was a member of the Multi-Age Sunday School Class, The Busy Bees and the Happy Travelers. She enjoyed playing the piano and reading.

Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2013 at Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers with Rev. Patrick Broaddus, Rev. Martin Groover and Dr. Michael Armistead officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 PM and other times at the home.

She is survived by her son, Tony A. Brown and wife Wanda of the home, grandchildren, Heather Brown and Justin Brown both of Lillington; sister, Sue Honeycutt and husband Ted of Angier.
