Mrs. Josephine Markiewicz, 70, Fuquay-Varina passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 19, 1953, on the island of Guam and eventually moved to the United States. Josephine spent her life enjoying many different hobbies including being close to the ocean, scuba diving, swimming, eventually settling into motorcycle riding with her husband. Leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support for all those she knew and loved.

Josephine is survived by her husband, Robert Markiewicz; daughter, Stephanie, son, Raymond, son-in-law, Carl; 3 grandchildren, Emma, Seth, and Noah; brother, Joe; 3 sisters, Jane, Rita, and Annie; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 10, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Memorial Baptist Church in Buies Creek. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Ed Beddingfield officiating.
