Joseph Phil Phillip Smith, 64 of Fuquay-Varina, died Monday, December 7, 2015 at Central Carolina Hospital.

Phil was born November 27, 1951 in Wake Co. to Florie May Blanchard Smith and the late Joseph Gene Smith.

Phil loved to garden, hunt and fish. He was a lifelong Bricklayer. He enjoyed listening to beach music and loved his family.

Phil is survived by 3 children, Joseph Christopher Smith of Knightdale, Terri Anna Smith Barbour and husband James of Angier and Phillip Brandon Harris-Smith; a grandson, James Dillion Barbour and fianc Brandi Carol Phillips; mother, Florie May Blanchard Smith of Fuquay-Varina; a sister, Donna Jones of Fuquay-Varina.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 11, 2015 at Christian Light Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Christian Light Christian Church Community Building, adjacent to the church.
