Joseph Michael Lewis, 3 months old infant of Shannie Moore and Michael Lewis, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at UNC Hospital Chapel Hill.

Joseph was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Clifton Lewis and his paternal great grand father Joe Welch, and paternal great grandmother Mildred Lewis.

He was a very happy baby who would laugh every time his family sang "Jesus Love Me" to him. He loved having his picture taken and would make funny faces and raise his eyebrows for his pictures. He loved to hear his older sister voice when she came into the room. He was loved by many people and will be missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Spring Hill United Methodist Church. A service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the church with Rev. Terry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Shannie Moore and Michael Lewis, a sister Summer Lewis, paternal grandparents, Laura Beck and Jimmy Lucas; maternal grandparents, Brenda and Charles Taylor; paternal grand mother Diane Beck; maternal grandparents Ruby Mangum and Norman Bolton; maternal great great grandmother Jessie Bolton.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lewis family in care of O'Quinn Peebles Funeral Home, P.O. Box 266, Lillington NC 27546. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Friday, February 16, 2013 at Spring Hill United Methodist Church. A service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the church with Rev. Terry Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
