Jones Tillman "Tim" Thomas passed away in his sleep on August 15, 2016. Born on May 31, 1956, Tim was the third son born to Alvin and Clive Thomas. He graduated from Lillington High School in 1974 and was a member of Cedar Rock Presbyterian Church. As a boy he loved the outdoors and playing with his brothers, sister, cousins and friends. As an adult he later worked with his father and brothers on their family farm. Tim built a home on the farm which was always open to family and friends, and he enjoyed taking his motorcycle for rides throughout North Carolina. It was at his beloved home that he was able to live in comfort while he transitioned into hospice care, which was made possible by the care provided by his sister, Donna, brother-in-law Ernie, and dear friends: Gary Brown, and Tony & Wanda Brown. Countless other friends and relatives supported him throughout his treatment – and the family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of those who took it upon themselves to be there in his time of need.

He is survived by his mother, Clive Gilchrist Thomas, his sister, Donna Crews (Ernest), sisters-in-law Alice Thomas and Mary-Jane Thomas, his 3 nieces and 4 nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, A. Ray, and brothers, Gary and Keith.

Tim's funeral will be held on Thursday, August 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Lillington Presbyterian Church. A visitation following the service will be held at the home of Clive Thomas.
