Mrs. Johnsie Buchanan Pace, 91 of Lillington died Friday, December 26, 2014 at Liberty Commons Nursing Home.

Johnsie was born March 22, 1923 in Lee Co. to the late A. Bryant and Mittie Mae Kelly Buchanan. Johnsie was preceded in death by her husband W.M. Pace and a grandson.

Johnsie loved to plant flowers and was a fantastic cook. Johnsie was a hard worker and stayed busy all the time.

Johnsie is survived by 2 sons, Harold Pace and wife Betty of Broadway, Wayne Pace of the home; a daughter, Janice Pace of Lillington; 1 sister, Rachel Thomas of Sanford; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grand children; 3 great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Barbecue Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Dawn Stoker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home and following the graveside service in the fellowship hall at Barbecue Presbyterian Church.
