Mr. John Gabriel "Gabe" Langdon, 37, of Sunset Beach, NC, formerly of Lillington passed away Friday, December 16, 2016. He was born in Cumberland County, the son of Donald Ray and Lydia Langdon. Gabe was a very loving and caring person. He never met a stranger and enjoyed meeting new people. Gabe enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. He also was an avid Green Bay Packer and UNC Tar Heel fan. Gabe was a staunch conservative who enjoyed political debate. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John Aaron and Vida Lee Senter; paternal granddaddy, Willis Langdon and cousin, Ann Bethune Mewborn.
Gabe is survived by his parents, Donald Ray and Lydia Langdon of Lillington; brother, Will Langdon and wife Jennifer of Cary; nephew, Andrew and niece, Kaitlyn; fiancé, Roxanne Baker of Sunset Beach, formerly of Lillington; paternal grandmother, Doris Langdon, Aunts, Ida Carol Wilson and husband, Donald; Penelope Bethune; Mary Frances Kear and husband Jim; Susan Worrell and husband, Steve; Becky Sturgill and Johnny Bethune; Dianne Hatley and husband, Sammy; Uncle, David Senter and wife Deborah and numerous cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Lillington Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Selman officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the home of Donald Ray and Lydia Langdon.
