John Joseph Gilbert Jr. 66, died Thursday, September 12, 2013 at his home. A native of New Jersey he was the son of the late John and Gertrude Gilbert. He was preceded in death by a sister Gertrude Shinn and brother Skip Sailor. John retired as a drywall specialist in construction for over 30 years. He was a devoted father and husband.


John Gilbert is survived by his wife of 46 years, Peggy Gilbert. Son; Michael and wife Christina of New Jersey, Steven and wife Wendy of Pennsylvania. Daughter; Linda Beuckman and husband William of Lillington. Grandchildren; Morgan, Derck, Emily Gilbert, and Billy and Brianna Beuckman. Also, several nieces and nephews.
