Johann Catherine (Lockard) Andrews, 81, of Sanford, NC, formerly of Ridgeley, WV, died Friday, May 10, 2013 at home.
Born July 24, 1931 in Ridgeley, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Christopher Lockard and Dana Ellen (Rhodes) Lockard.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Andrews; two brothers, Charles J. Lockard and Ronald P. Lockard; and a sister, Eloise Shepherd.
Johann was a graduate of Ridgeley High School, Class of 1950.
She retired from Memorial Hospital, where she had been a surgical technician.
Mrs. Andrews had belonged to SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Pamela Twigg, and husband Greg, Sanford, NC, Paula Wilson, Cumberland, Peggy Wagoner, and husband Dave, Winchester, VA, Jack Andrews, and wife Alexandra, Bedford, PA, Penny Anwar, and husband Najeb, Stephens City, VA, and James Andrews, and wife Sheila, Ridgeley; 14 grandchildren, 15 great, grandchildren, and 2 great, great, grandchildren; one brother, Chris Lockard, and wife Carol, Cumberland; and, one sister, Marion Barnes, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene Street, Cum-
berland, on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from noon until 2:00 PM.
The funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 2:00 PM, with Fr. Mike Lecias, officiating.
Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
