Mrs. Jo Ann Wilt, 80, of Lillington went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. She was born in Kayford, WV, the daughter of the late Bennie Brown and Annie Laura Young Brown. Jo Ann was also preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Gordon Brown, Clayton Thomas Brown; sister, Joyce Brown Simpson.

Jo Ann loved God and caring for all animals. She enjoyed sending letters, cards, and books to people in their time of need. Jo Ann collected children's books and loved sharing them with her friends and family. She was compassionate, patriotic, and loved her family.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 61 years, George Wilt of the home; daughter, Tamra Irvine of Lillington; son, George Kevin Wilt and wife April of Goldsboro; daughter, Rebecca Wilt of Morrisville; grandson, Jesse Irvine of Lillington; brother, Claude Harrison Brown of Lexington, KY; sister, Peggy Sue Larson of Garden City, MI.

A private memorial service will be held for the family.
