Jimmy Lee "Dick" Taylor, 83, of Lillington passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home. He was born in Person County, the son of the late Charlie and Mageline Tucker Taylor. Dick was preceded in death by three sisters, six brothers, and his son Jimmy Lee Taylor Jr. He enjoyed traveling to the beach and playing golf. Dick was greatly loved and will be missed by all. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Liberty Hospice Service and their staff.


Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 3:00 PM at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips funeral home with Rev. Martin Groover and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home and all other times at the home.


Dick is survived by his wife, Virginia Taylor of the home, 3 daughters, Angela Thomas of Broadway, Iris Tutor and husband Van of Fuquay-Varina, Nicole Stallings and husband Durwood of Coats, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
