Jimmie Dale Revill, 72 of Broadway passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Moore Regional Hospital.

Jimmie was born October 15, 1942 in Hobbs New Mexico to the late Joseph and Katie Knox Revill. He was preceded in death by his step-dad, Gene W. Schneider and a step-daughter, Shirley Wall.

Jimmie was retired Master Sergeant with the US Army Special Forces for over 30 years. He was a Green Beret in the Special Forces. He was a paratrooper with over 100 jumps. He was a graduate of Fayetteville State with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He had a love for classic and Muscle cars. His favorite was the Chevy Camaro. He was an avid coin collector. He loved watching old war movies.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Revill; a daughter Cheril Revill Yarborough of Broadway; 2 sisters, Cheli Dappen and husband Carl of Apex and Souix (Sue) Revill of Houston TX; 2 brothers, Steven Revill of Powell WY, Joey Revill, ; 2 grandchildren, Autumn Gray Yarborough and Colby Lewis Yarborough both of Broadway; a nephew, Shawn Dappen of Haymarket, VA; a niece, Christine Larsen of Fuquay-Varina.

A memorial service will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Holly Springs Baptist Church, Broadway with Dr. Michael Simmons and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 P.M. in the fellowship hall of the church and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the family or Holly Springs Baptist Church, 278 Holly Springs Church Road, Broadway NC 27505.
