Jimmie Loyd Allen, 84, of Lillington, graduated to heaven, Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his home surrounded by "his girls".

Jimmie was born June 24, 1938 in Johnston County, NC to the late Lois Pearl Stanley Allen and James Talmadge Allen.  Growing up on a farm in Johnston County, he developed a love for growing plants, building and problem solving.  He worked as produce manager in the grocery business for many years and later was owner and operator of Special Occasions with The Master's Touch Florist.  Jimmie loved God, his wife, Becky, "his girls" (Pam, Jane, Rebekah, and his precious kitty, Princess), and his home with all his heart.  Jimmie was able to spend his last days surrounded by "his girls" and fulfill his wish to transition from the home he loved so much, to his heavenly home.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Allen; beloved nephews, Dennis Lloyd Brown, and Randy Allen Newsome; and niece, Kimberly Brown.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Becky Byrd Allen; daughter, Pamela Allen Sutton and husband, Blaine; granddaughters, Jane Elizabeth Sutton, and Rebekah Margaret Sutton; sisters, Patricia Allen Brown and husband, Weldon, and Bobbie Allen Newsome and husband, Richard; nephew, Perry Daniel Brown; and great niece, Lindsey Lynette Brown.

A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Antioch Baptist Church, 6670 Old US 421, Lillington, NC 27546, with Pastor Richard Beacham officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends 12pm – 1:45pm prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Bobbie and Richard Newsome.
