Jill Marie (Carr) Yocum, 68, of Lillington, NC passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family on June 7, 2026.

Jill was born on January 21, 1958, in Niagara Falls, New York, to the late John Carr and Patricia (Kasing) Carr.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, she served her country with honor and dedication. Throughout her life, she found great happiness in the simple things. She had a special talent for arts and crafts, particularly painting, through which she expressed her creativity and brought beauty to those around her. She enjoyed feeding and tending to the birds outside her home and found comfort in watching them visit each day.

She absolutely adored her beloved Yorkie, Lilly, who brought her endless love and companionship. She was also an enthusiastic fan of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Buffalo Bills, faithfully cheering on her favorite teams through the years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John Carr and Patricia (Kasing) Carr.

She is survived by her devoted son, Christopher Elburn; daughter-in-law, Jessica Ramos; and her cherished grandchildren, Dylan Elburn and Xander Elburn, who brought immense joy to her life.

She is also survived by her brothers, Jack Carr, Rick Carr, and Lenny Carr; her sisters, Pat Mason, Grace Medley, and twin sister, Jan Carr. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

She will be remembered for her loving spirit, creative heart, unwavering devotion to family, and the kindness she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home, followed by a graveside services at Westview Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
