Ms. Jerrie Madglene "Mag" McLean, 86, of Lillington was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven by her Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, September 2, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Madglene was born in Durham on December 22, 1935 to the late Clyde Leonard Senter and Lois Myatt Senter. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter as well as a grandson, Hunter Morris; siblings, Ernest Senter, Elizabeth "Lib" Darroch, and Nancy Gregory.

Madglene was a beloved mother and granny. She was a devoted member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Willow Spring, and her church family was very special to her. Mag worked in the textile industry, retiring from Red Kap in 1998 after 41 years of service. Family and friends meant everything to her, demonstrated by the endless love and support she showed each of them.

She is survived by daughters, Debbie Morris of Fuquay-Varina and Beverly Brown of Lillington; grandchildren Sonya Veasey and husband Wesley of Fuquay-Varina, Justin Huffstetler and fiancé Brittney of Angier, Misty Crawford and husband John of Raleigh, Matthew Brown of Lillington, Scott Brown and wife Liz of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Michael, Carson, Ayden, Sloane, Cameron, McCade and Charlotte; brother, Joe Senter and wife JoAnn, sister, Ella Everett, both of Lillington; several nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors, Ann McLemore and Evelyn Ellis.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington and other times at her home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022, in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Selman and Rev. Barrett Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park.
