Mrs. Jenny Jones Jackson, 86, of Kipling passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Rex Heart and Vascular Center in Raleigh. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Higgs and Grace Jones. In addition to her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Clinton Jackson; son, Michael Troy Jackson; grandson Jeremy Riddle; brothers, Fred Jones, Sherwood Jones, and Charles Jones.

Jenny lived a long and great life, filled with love. She was an Office Manager for Roses stores, in addition to an earlier career at Angier Knitting Co. for nearly 20 years. Whatever it took to provide and care for her family, she did. Jenny loved nothing more than caring for her family, the love she had for them knew no limits. She was an avid reader and historian, a confidante, and above all a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and wife. She loved her dogs Little Boy, Raven, and Cricket, as well as Maggie the First. She also loved her Maggie II and Peanut. Jenny was very devout, trusting in the Lord with all her heart. She truly was everything to her family. On April 23rd, she crossed over the last river, to rest in the shade of heavenly trees, high in the mountains.

Jenny is survived by her daughter, Jill Phipps and husband Michael of the home; 2 grandsons, Michael Ray Jackson of Angier, and Nathan Wayne Phipps of Kipling; multiple great grandchildren, special daughter-in-law, Doris Capps Jackson of Durham; sister, Mildred Johnson of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM Saturday, April 27, 2024, at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Melinda Ivey, Rev. Justin Jamis, and Rev. Pat Gaddy. A burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington.
