Jeffrey Parks Blackwelder, 54 of Sanford passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015.

Jeff was born September 10, 1960 to Donald Blackwelder and the late Glenda Swann Blackwelder. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Edith and Dougald Swann and Robert and Janie Blackwelder.

Jeff was a member of the US Coast Guard stationed at Ocracoke Island. He was a heavy weather Coxswain. He loved boating, fishing, being outdoors or on the water. After the Coast Guard Jeff worked in construction. He was a loving husband, father and brother.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tammy Blackwelder of Sanford, 2 sons, Derek Blackwelder and Jamie Blackwelder both of Sanford; 2 step-brothers, Chad and Richard Blackwelder both of Sanford.
