J.C. Knight, 67 of Lillington died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Central Carolina Hospital.

J.C. was born November 10, 1948 in Harnett Co. to the late John and Mavis Stanley Knight. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Narron.

J.C. was a self-employed mechanic for 46 years. He was known for his sense of humor and contagious laugh. J.C. Was an important part of the community and center piece of his family. Each of his three children received the best parts that made J.C. wonderful-they were helpful, humorous and generous. Strangers that he met through his life quickly became friends and those friends lasted a lifetime. His way of caring and helping others were Second to none. He will be remembered and missed for a longtime to come. The stories people will tell of him will be filled with laughter and tears. He truly lived life for the moment and left tomorrow free and to God.

J.C. is survived by his wife, Diane Knight of Lillington; 3 sons, Kelly Knight of Lillington, John Knight and wife Kim of Angier and Josh Knight and wife Ashley of Lillington; a brother, John Knight and wife Jackie of Lillington; a sister, Nadine Avery and husband Donald of Lillington; 7 grandchildren, Trystan Knight, Nathan Knight, Maddie Edwards, Kamryn Knight, Shane McFarland, Gavin Moore, Gabe Moore.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Raven Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. David Priddy officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
