Mr. J.B. Jordan, 73 of Fuquay-Varina died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at WakeMed Cary Hospital. He was the son of the late N.J. and Thelma Barbour Jordan and was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Jordan Smith.

Graveside service will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at Christian Light Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Larry King officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday, at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home, other times at his home.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Shirley Jordan. Daughters, Cindy Jordan Nipper and husband Johnny of Fuquay-Varina, Kendra Jordan Denton and husband Jonathan of Coats, Kristen Jordan Baker and husband Toby of Fuquay-Varina;
Son-in-Law, Vander Smith of Fuquay-Varina. Grandchildren: Jacob Nipper, Zeb Smith, Kaleb Holt, and Emma Baker. Sisters, Shirley Strickland of Fuquay-Varina, Joyce Oliver of Lillington, Blanche Black of Sanford. Brother, Robert Jordan of Fuquay-Varina.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at WakeMed Cary Hospital for their exceptional care and support during Mr. Jordan's illness.
