Mr. Jason Scott Boyd, 29, of Lillington passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was born in Chapel Hill, the son of Richard Boyd and Alma Moore. Jason was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family, his dogs and being outdoors. Jason worked with Edwards Brothers in Lillington for 5 years. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Lee Moore and paternal grandfather, Royce Rat Boyd.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Thursday, July 24, 2014 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel in Lillington with Rev. Robbie O'Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Dunn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00-3:00 PM.

Jason is survived by his fiancé, Tina Poindexter of their home, father, Richard Boyd and wife Cindy of Mamers, mother, Alma Moore of Sanford, maternal grandmother, Annie Moore of Sanford, paternal grandmother, Carolyn Godfrey of Olivia, 2 sisters, Jessica Taylor and husband Jonathan of Mamers, Annie Crawford of Lillington, 2 nieces, Madelyn and Shelby and 4 nephews, Lucas, Noah, John Paul and Hunter.
