Mrs. Jane Gutwald Roberts, 84, of Lillington passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Blair County, PA, the daughter of the late Simon and Frances Gutwald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Donna Perino, Janet Dale and Gloria Mullen.

Jane was a God-fearing woman, devout Catholic who received last rites before her death. She loved and devoted her life to family. Jane enjoyed cross word puzzles, trivia games and playing cards with family and friends.

Jane is survived by her husband of 50 years, James L. Roberts, Jr. of the home; daughter, Brenda Dean and husband, Buck of Lillington; son, Ricky Roberts of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Barbi Corliss, and husband Terry of Lillington; son, Jamey Roberts and wife, Sherry of Lillington; brother, Eddie Gutwald and wife Jo Jo of Youngstown, OH; 9 grandchildren and their spouses; 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 5:00-6:45 PM. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Father Autro Cabra officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
