Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Becker DeBruycker, 76, of Fuquay-Varina, NC passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Canandaigua, NY, the daughter of the late Raymond and Edna Smith Becker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Becker and sister, Carol Hlywa.

Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone. Jane baked cookies frequently for family, friends, and neighbors. She also visited and helped others in times of need and support. She was famous for her frosted Christmas cookies and apple pies. During the Christmas holiday, she baked thousands of Christmas cookies and would deliver them to family and friends on giant holiday plates. Jane and her sister, Carol, won first and second place for their apple pies in the New York State fair. When she wasn't cleaning or cooking, Jane enjoyed crocheting, entering sweepstakes, and researching new recipes. After years of entering sweepstakes, she won an all-expense paid cruise to the Bahamas. In her later years, Jane gave the family gifts in triplicate from the Home Shopping Network.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2023, at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington, NC.  A memorial service for friends and family in Honeoye, NY will be held at a later date.
