James Warren Latta, 91 of Bunnlevel died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Emerald Health and Rehab Center.

James was born May 28, 1924 in Granville Co to the late E.B. and Nancy Latta . He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Gladys Latta; son, Jimmy Latta; grandson, Daniel Latta and great-granddaughter, Bessie Battes.

James was a member of Lillington Baptist Church and has serviced as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He was a farmer for many years and a business man. He served in the US Army during WWII.

James is survived by 4 children, Jerry Latta and wife Shelia of Bunnlevel, Betty Rose Latta of Bunnlevel, Gloria Lee of Wilmington and Chris Latta and wife Tracy of Bunnlevel; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 Noon Friday, February 26, 2016 at Lillington Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the church.
