Mr. James Nelson Jackson, Sr., age 53, of Dunn died Monday, May 10, 2010. He was born in Wake County NC, the son of Mary Lassiter Jackson and the late Claude Nelson Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a well known painter for many years. He liked to work outside and could fix just about anything. Mr. Jackson loved to walk everywhere and never met a stranger.

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 14 at 4:00 p.m. at Westview Memorial Gardens in Lillington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jackson family in care of O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home, PO Box 266, Lillington, NC 27546.

In addition to his mother and his wife Theresa K. Jackson, both of Garner, survivors include his sons, James N. Jackson, Jr. of Dunn, Kevin R. Jackson of Angier, Shannon L. Jackson of Lillington and Cody A. Jackson of Garner; sister, Shirley Boyette and husband Jerry of Garner; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
