Mr. James Glaron Keene, Sr. "Babe", 76, of Lillington died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Betsy Johnson Regional Medical Center in Dunn. He was born in Sampson County, the son of the late Jimmy O. Keene and Lona Strickland Keene. Mr. Keene retired from Champion Home Builders. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet K. Keene and his brother, Clois D. Keene.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, February, 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel. Graveside service will be Sunday, 3:00 PM at Natmoore Baptist Church Cemetery, Kelly, NC.

The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Squires Keene of the home; a son James G. Keene, Jr. and wife D.J. of Lillington; a daughter Janell Booth and husband Kenny of Lillington; grandchildren: Aaron Troy Jacobs, Victoria Booth, Emily Booth and Ethan Booth; and brother Roy Mack Keene and wife Lois of Dunn.
