Mrs. Irmgard "Emmy" Dufresne, 85, of Sanford, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at her residence.

A private, family service will be held.

Emmy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dufresne.

She is survived by her seven children, Mary Beth, Manuela, John, Mike, Michelle, Tom, and Gene; 25 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helga and Traudl.

Our Mother.....

Will always be remembered as a sweet kind-hearted loving woman.

She loved her family dearly, especially all her grandchildren which she spoiled.

She loved to travel, play games, do jigsaw puzzles, go to bingo, take long walks, and go to church.

She loved being a part of the Lillington United Methodist Church.  Whenever they had a task to complete, she was always there willing to help.

She liked country music, watching soap operas, and always had to have her coffee and something sweet.
