Iris Lee Coleman Blanchard, 89 of Bunnlevel died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at her home.

Iris was born October 30, 1925 in Harnett Co. to the late Ronnie and Mallie Lee. Iris was preceded in death by her husband Kelly F. Coleman; a son, Koy L. Coleman; 2 sisters, Maxine Blanchard and Carolyn Messer; a grandson, Tim Coleman.

Iris attended Northwood Temple and Pentecost Worship Center when she was able. She loved cooking, sewing, crafts and gardening. She loved reading her Bible and her Lord.

A funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 6, 2015 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Iris is survived by 4 children, Wayne Coleman of Lillington, Randy Coleman and wife Peggy of Dunn, Kathy Powell and husband Dickie of Lillington, and Richard Coleman of Bunnlevel; 6 sisters, Grace Gilbert of Dunn, Deloris Hart and husband Julian of Bunnlevel, Shirley Johnson, Laverne Messer and husband Ted, and Brenda Lee all 3 of Angier, Annette Godfrey and husband Alvin of Sunset Beach; a brother, Terry Lee of Holden Beach; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
