Ila Lorene Stanley West, 79, of Spring Lake, NC passed away Tuesday September 28, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 24, 1942, in Ingrams Township, NC to the late Rose E. Adams Stanley and William B. Stanley. Ila was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Edward West, her son, William Edward West, several brothers and sisters, and her beloved dog and companion, Lady.

Ila was born and raised in North Carolina and spent her entire life in the surrounding areas of Harnett County. Throughout her career, she worked in the nursing field and as a biscuit maker at Hardee's in Lillington. Ila enjoyed cooking, working on crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. Most of all, she cherished the memories shared with her family and grandson, Ethan.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Mason and husband Wayne of Linden, NC; her grandson, Ethan Ray and wife Gina of Spring Lake, NC; her sister, Patricia Capps of Clayton, NC; and her brother, Donald Stanley and wife Patsy of Selma, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday October 3 at 3PM at the West Family Cemetery, 11856 NC Highway 210 South in Spring Lake, NC with Pastor Austin Swinson officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
